It's all about the deck, views, and location. Our pet friendly home is located just off highway 3. So, you'll have easy access to anywhere in Fernie. Whether it's the downtown vibes, the mountain trails, or a stroll along the famous Elk River you can easily walk, bike, or drive anywhere from The Red House. There's three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large open plan living space, a large unfenced garden, private hot tub, and a large deck. You'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay.
As you pull off highway three into a short lane that leads to our house you will immediately notice the wonderful surroundings and amazing views. The entrance door has a sign and an igloo lock. You'll find the secure nine digit code in your welcome email.
GROUND FLOOR
You enter into the mudroom where you'll find plenty of space for coats, shoes, and sporting equipment, along with the in suite laundry facilities. Also on this floor you will find a small double bedroom and washroom with shower. You'll also find a coat rack, two bedside tables, and two lamps in the ground floor bedroom. Finally, there are stairs to the main floor.
MAIN LIVING SPACE
At the top of the stairs there is a family bathroom with a shower over the tub. immediately to your right is the lounge area with large windows and high vaulted ceilings. The large curved sofa has plenty of space for the whole family to curl up and watch their favourite movie on the large wall mounted TV. If a little more seating space is required, then there is an extra sofa. Behind the lounge area is a large dining table with 6 chairs.
KITCHEN
There is a large corner kitchen equipped with everything you could need during your stay. There are small and large appliances, along with salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans. You'll also find an air fryer in the cupboards and a couple of other extra small appliances that you can use.
BEDROOMS
Just off the main living space you will find two bedrooms. One has two twin beds with a small closet, and the other is the master bedroom with double bed, closet, and drawer space.
THE DECK
The large deck is accessed just off the lounge area. There are two benches that can join together to make a picnic table. This space is absolutely perfect for your morning coffee, evening drink, and all the meals in between. Check out the photos, the view is absolutely stunning all year round.
PET FRIENDLY
Our home is pet friendly, however, please note that the garden is not fenced in. Please ensure your furry family member is safe while at our property. Additionally, in the summer months, you could see bears and other wildlife. Please check out the digital guest guide before check-in on how to be wildlife safe in BC.
RURAL LOCATION
Given our property is surrounded by grass and dirt tracks, and despite the meticulous cleaning in between guest stays, there is the risk that you may find some bugs and dust in the property. We do our best to ensure our home is to the highest standard and appreciate your understanding.

Please note, the house is fed by well water and is on septic tank sewage. There is a brand-new filtration system that has been installed. Should you encounter any issues please reach out to our FantasticStay agents via your booking communications and they will assist you.
Please be advised that our maintenance technician performs regular upkeep on the hot tubs throughout the week. During these times, he may stop by unannounced to carry out necessary checks and maintenance.

For our Airbnb guests, we offer an optional Guest Damage Protection policy (aka Damage Waiver) that covers accidental damages up to CA$1000. This policy is designed to protect you from being charged for unforeseen incidents that might occur during your stay.
